In short

The GG.ST IRC Network is coming from a long line of networks. It started in 1998 with Upsilon Studio, then ooKoo.org, FF.ST, Yumeru, Kumo, ooKoo.org again, and finally became GG.ST, reminding of the golden age of the network, while it was named FF.ST.
